In Germany, I drank a Radler, although I thought everyone was saying "Rattler" What is a Radler? A beverage that is a half-and-half mix of blond lager (usually Pils or Helles) and lemonade. This drink originated in Bavaria in the early 20th century. I think Leinenkugels - Summer Shandy taste a lot like a Radler/Rattler And if you want to make your own... Ingredients 1 tall glass Fill 1/2 the glass with beer - ADD carbonated lemon-lime beverage (7-up or Sprite) or you can substitute lemonade Drink....

Guaranteed Sterile Unless Opened – this is what was printed on the outside of a Band-Aid (of course not a brand named Band Aid) just adhesive tape with a rectangular patch of gauze – the color of the tape would match silly putty, so if you ever have a ball of silly putty with a wound in the shape of a rectangle – I have the band aid for you – of course if you open the package I can’t guarantee it will be sterile. So, I figure it’s safe to say that this is post is guarantee amusing unless anyone reads it or damages it in any way, shape of form. Getting together with fellow writers...is always a reason to Celebrate... Other Reasons for Celebrating... I had to go to work this morning... I'm employed, getting a paycheck and living the dream... I still have ten pounds to lose... I'm health and being 10 pounds over my normal weight means I can still fit into my clothes...they are tight, but at least I don't have to go out and buy new things...beside you never know when an ad might appear - Needed Woman to Stress Test Zippers... I've got experience. And it's raining...(I hate watering the flower and vegetable gardens) I also hate doing dishes and laundry... I wonder if I could set the basket of dirty clothes out on the front steps along with the dirty dishes?

When I was young my brother and I would illegally race mini bikes up and down the alleys in Minneapolis. Hoping no one would call the cops… And this morning driving my scooter (big mini bike) to work – I passed a cop, flashed a smile and thought…It’s amazing how things have changed. I still can’t believe that having this much fun is legal.

Sometimes it's best to keep an eye on the situation...a low profile, unassuming pose and wait and see if anything develops. When someone complains instead of jumping in with suggestions, or pointing out to them that they have nothing to complain about, or becoming defensive… take a lesson from Ruth, just sit and listen to all they have to say without interrupting, without telling them how to fix it, just wait until they have finished saying everything they want to say…and then decide if you should bark, wag your tail or just keep an eye on the situation.

No place like home… Poor Ruthie spent Memorial Weekend up at the lake; she was chased by a very friendly Golden Retriever and Mikey who didn’t understand that you can’t place dogs into boxes, pound on the lid and say you have a present. Life…sometimes you’re the entertainment.

So, thought for the day… You can’t grasp the pleasure of today if you’re busy holding on to the pain of the past.

If you could have back any hour of your life...which hour would you like to get back... Ruth says, "When you do what you love... You want to live every hour of your life over again, which is pretty much what I do--eat, nap, play a little." ...and Ruth also spends time guarding the ones she loves.

The Perfect Country and Western Story My editor wrote - the final reader contacted me this morning and this is what she had to say: One of the best things a good story has is wonderful characters, I fell in love with all of them, but I must say Patrick was my favorite. I did cry in a part or two which added to the flow of the book. All in all great job, loved the story. I can't wait to announce a release date....
